About This Project
Made by the Chef is run by Chef and culinary teacher Hulya Erdal. I’ve worked with Hulya on her MBTC website.
Hulya had a cookery demonstration coming up at a local food festival in London. She wanted flyers to pass out alongside samples of her beautiful Mediterranean and Turkish cuisine to tempt peoples taste buds, as well as share her services and contact details with the local community.
The emphasis of the flyers was Hulyas’ beautifully prepared and photographed food (which looks just delicious), her contact details and services brief.
The warm colours (chocolate & various shades of matte gold) were chosen to frame the dishes and bring out their vibrant colours and are also colours that supposedly help us feel peckish? The flamboyant script font was chosen to give a sense of the calligraphy style Turkish Ottoman alphabet which is so prevalent across the country and often associated with the cuisine.
